When I signed the contract for TFMU 2020, I knew I was taking a risk. It is always a risk. It’s nerve wracking to agree to be responsible for $20,000 +, but I’ve always had faith in the fandom; that you all would never leave me (and those brave ladies before me) holding the bag. I still believe this, which is why I’m not freaking out too badly. But, am I freaking out a bit? Of course I am!
TFMU 2020 is still over 10 weeks away. As of last week, the hotel is not waiving contract obligations for June events. They acknowledged that things are unknown, and circumstances could change. It’s just under 6 weeks until a decision needs to be reached. That feels like a long time, yet no time at all.
I imagine you want to know if TFMU 2020 is happening, especially since so many other June events have already called it. I wish I could say for sure, but I just don’t know what’s going to happen.
As always, I’ll do my very best to do right by you all. I remain hopeful that by the end of May, when a final decision has to be made, the world will be a little surer of where we’re at. When it comes to time to make a decision, I will rely on you--my friends, my fandom-- for guidance. The fate of TFMU will not be decided without you!
I’ll keep you posted and please stay in touch!
I don't think I'll be able to go, with me having cancer and all, I'm not going to travel anywhere this year. I know I paid already. Be if you need to use it to help you with anything, please do so. Please keep me posted.

Here's hoping we can all go but as things stand at the moment it seems doubtful. Positive thoughts though.
I would not sweat if yet. I truly do not think tne country will be open for business until late summer. If you cite COVID-19 as the reason for cancelation , they will be hard pressed to keep you to the contract.
